I had a conversation today with someone who criticised me (not for the first time) for having an opinion about "everything" (as well as a few other things). Now, it's a valid criticism to make - I don't let things slip by if I think I have something to say about them. I'm sure it can sometimes (or even often) be really tiring for someone who didn't want to discuss it. And then I run against this comic (from xkcd):
